ABOUT JACK

Jack is an LA based director, born and raised. His work, originally stemming from the surf world, has focused mostly on stories of community, finding those things that connect us as people and bring us together. He cut his teeth in the doc world with his debut feature film, Dirty Old Wedge, collecting Best Documentary and Audience Awards at the Newport Beach Film Festival, International Surf Film Festival and the London Surf Film Festival (among others) while his second feature doc, Part of Water, premiered as the closing night film at the 2019 Newport Beach Film Festival. Jack's work seeks for a sense of authenticity while lending as much artistry to his stories as possible. His work is all about getting in the thick of it and pulling out the most powerful story he can find, making sure to have as much fun along the way as he can.
